<description>&gt;Hi, newbie here I would like to create an icon for the URL link that I save in home screen. How do I go abt it.

You mention &#039;URL&#039; so I&#039;m assuming you&#039;re talking about saving a website bookmark to your Home Screen by tapping the &#039;+&#039; icon in Safari? If so, you don&#039;t need the SDK.
If you own the website in question, you can save a 57x57px image as apple-touch-icon.png in your domain root and the iPhone will use that instead of using a mini-screenshot as the icon.
